Summary: I used to concept that DNA is fundamental to life, we could not survive without it, somewhat like the steps we take. Like the stepping-stones I created, it is a basic property we need to „step‰ on. My stones have use tiles embedded inside of them to illustrate a portion of a DNA sequence and a mutated version of the same sequence.

Genetic Art Proposal

Title: "From Darwin to Designer Babies"

Summary: As you are reading these words, scientific advancements in the world around you are rapidly occurring. One of these major advancements is that of genetic engineering. The prospect of altering one‚s DNA leads society to question how soon people will be able to create „designer babies‰. As scary as this concept may be, our society‚s over eagerness to establish perfection in health and beauty is an unavoidable topic that rears itself in every magazine you buy, book you read, movie or television show you watch, and every conversation you have. There is no question of whether or not people will attempt to take control of natural selection‚s reignsand create a form of life that they see fit. What is in question is what this will do to our species and how far we will let it go.
